Private Label Rights

Use Private Label Articles and Content to make money

Effectively use private label content for your niche market

Private Label Rights have become a major market on the web, and they can be an asset to webmasters, bloggers and online marketers if used properly. However, the flip side can hold true: that if you don't use your private label rights correctly at best it might be ineffective and at worst it could get you penalized or even blacklisted from the search engines.

Private Label Rights: A Definition

While definitions for private label rights may vary from website to website, there are some fairly common denominators with these rights. In most cases these rights will allow you to download raw source files of articles or an entire sellable package where you can often take a great deal of freedom to edit and redistribute the content. These raw source files may come in a variety of formats, though mostly you'll receive them in some sort of text format. Most Articles and Packages that I have come across grant you permission to claim yourself as the author of the work.

Here's an example of what you might be able to do with an article that you have private label rights for. Let's say you purchase an article on dog training with private label rights. You could edit this article, add some key words to it, make it longer by doing some research yourself, change the title to something more fitting, and since you've made all those changes you can even mark yourself down as the author. Some websites will even allow you to claim yourself as the copy write holder of private label content if you change it enough.

Don't abuse Private Label Content

If you have private label content, it's most likely that you purchased it on some website. Typically these websites that offer private label content have restrictions on how you can and cannot use these rights. It is in your benefit that you adhere to whatever terms or rules these websites require. For example, many websites that offer private label articles will not allow their content to be submitted to article directories. Maybe you're asking, "Why would they do that? I bought it, I should be able to do with it what I want to. . .", well - no you shouldn't. The main purpose of these websites is to offer fresh and unique content in exchange for your one time payment or monthly membership payment. I haven't seen one reputable private label rights distributor that didn't either limit the downloads all together to a certain number, or compensate a high membership count with more articles when they reach a certain number of members. This is so that the market doesn't become overloaded with the same content.

All being said, private label rights for articles and niche content can help you immensely, whether you are using contextual ads (Google Adsense, Yahoo Publisher, etc) or promoting affiliate programs. They generally allow the freedom to laser target your article or content package to your niche, while not having to deal with paying for the content more than once. A lot of times when you buy in bulk, you can actually get these articles and niche content packages for pennies on the dollar: a super buy and a great deal for the smart marketer.
